Rendezvous Literary Talk: Tibetan liberation activist and poet Tenzin Tsundue
International Tibetan Writer , Poet and Activist Tenzin Tsundue was invited to college by the P.G Dept of English for a rendezvous with the poet on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. The programme was organised in the main block, seminar hall, Nivedika at 9:30 am. The poet read his poem’ When It Rains in Dharamasala’ and inaugurated the event. This particular poem is prescribed by the University of Calicut and included in the curriculum for the BA English undergraduate programme. Fifa Trivia Quiz 2022
The PG Department of English at Naipunnya Institute of Management and Information Technology proudly presents *Fifa World Cup: Trivia Quiz.* The quiz will be held on Tuesday, 20th December at MBA Block Seminar Hall from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Each team must consist of two individuals. A preliminary written test will be conducted to determine four teams who would move on to the final round. Peer Teaching
Neha Elizabeth Joseph, from II BA English, PG Department of English presented a session on “How to Write a Research Paper?” for the first BA students on 19th December 2022. FILM FEST -2023
The PG Department of English at Naipunnya College, Pongam hosted our annual department literature festival on the 5th and 9th of January 2023. As part of our fundraising campaign, we held a film festival from 13th to 19th December 2022 from 2:15 to 4:00 pm. The films that were screened were as follows. As a part of the Faculty Development Program, a workshop was conducted by the PG Department of English on Content writing and Freelance writing for the teachers of PG Department of English and Department of Additional Languages on July 30, 2022. Awareness campaign with CDS Kudumbasree unit at Koratty panchayat
The Department of English at Naipunnya College, Pongam Koratty conducted an awareness campaign with CDS members of the Kudumbasree unit at Koratty panchayat as part of the department's extension activity 2022. Ms. Grace K Benny, Head of the Department of English met with Kudumbasree members at Korratty panchayat to ascertain the basic and immediate needs of their unit that could be assisted by the department in upcoming sessions.
