Admission Procedure

  1. Admissions to our academic programs are conducted in accordance with the eligibility criteria set by Calicut University. Beginning with the academic year 2024-25, the University has introduced Four-Year Undergraduate Programs (FYUGP), and all undergraduate admissions will follow the updated guidelines.To learn more about the eligibility requirements and admission procedures for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, please go through the respective admission prospectuses.

    Step-by-Step Guide to the Admission Process

    Follow this guide to successfully complete your application for Undergraduate, and Postgraduate programs at Naipunnya Institute of Management and Information Technology (Autonomous).

    Step 1: Check Eligibility Criteria

    Before beginning your application, ensure you meet the eligibility requirements for your selected program.

    Undergraduate Programs

    • Completion of 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or an equivalent examination.
    • Minimum marks/grades as prescribed by Calicut University
    • Subject-specific and percentage criteria may vary by program.

    Postgraduate Programs

    • A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline.
    • Minimum percentage requirements as outlined in the porgram-specific guidelines.
    • Some programs may require entrance tests or additional qualifications.

    Step 2: Registration & Application Submission

    Follow these steps to complete your application for Undergraduate or Postgraduate programs at Naipunnya.

    Online Registration

    1. Visit the official website: www.naipunnya.ac.in
    2. Navigate to the “Admissions” section and click on “Apply Online.”
    3. Register using a valid email ID and mobile number.
    4. You will receive your login credentials via email.

    Fill Out the Application Form

    Log in to the admissions portal and complete the application form with accurate details:

    • Personal Information: Name, date of birth, contact details, etc.
    • Educational Qualifications:
      • For UG: 10th & 12th marks, board, year of passing
      • For PG.: Degree details and academic history
    • Program Preferences: Select your desired program(s)

    Upload Required Documents

    Ensure all documents are clear and legible:

    • Recent passport-size photograph
    • 10th and 12th mark sheets (for UG applicants)
    • Degree certificates and mark sheets (for PG applicants)
    • Transfer Certificate (TC) and Conduct Certificate
    • Community Certificate (if applicable)
    • Income Certificate (for fee concession eligibility)

    Pay the Application Fee

    Payment can be made through Payment Gateway.

     Payment options include:

    • Net Banking
    • Debit/Credit Cards
    • UPI

    Step 3: Selection Process

    • Admission is primarily based on academic performance in the qualifying examination.
    • A rank list will be published after the application review.
    • Reservation policies are strictly followed as per Government norms.
    • Applicants applying under specific quotas (e.g., sports, cultural, persons with disabilities) must upload valid supporting certificates.
    • International students can complete the admission process online from their home countries. Physical presence in India is required only after shortlisting.
    • For programs that require entrance tests or interviews, the schedule will be announced on the official website.

    Step 4: Publication of Rank List

    • The official rank list will be published on the college website and the application portal.
    • Selected candidates will receive a Provisional Allotment Memo via email, detailing the next steps including:
      • Document verification
      • Fee payment

    Documents Required

    • 10th, 12th, and graduation certificates (as applicable)
    • Transfer Certificate (TC) and Conduct Certificate
    • Migration Certificate (if applicable)
    • Eligibility Certificate (if required)
    • Community/Reservation Certificate (if applicable)
    • Aadhaar Card

    Step 5: Document Verification 

    Candidates must report to the college with the following:

    Original Documents

    • All certificates listed above

    Photocopies

    • Two sets of photocopies of all original documents

    Photographs

    • Recent passport-size photographs

    Step 6: Fee Payment 

    • Pay the admission fee as outlined in the Provisional Allotment Memo
    • Accepted payment methods: Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, UPI
    • Retain the payment receipt for future reference

    Step 7: Confirmation of Admission

    Once your documents are verified and the admission fee is paid, you will receive an official Admission Confirmation Letter from NIMIT.
