The Department has been actively providing financial support to our students from financially weaker backgrounds. This practice has been undertaken by the following two measures.

- Textbook distribution at discounted prices
The department of commerce participates annually through our earn and learn program. Through this platform, our students are encouraged to practice saving up money as well as learn financial management. The department aims to foster financial literacy amongst our students and this is achieved by providing the following services in exchange for money.
- Peer Teaching
- Friday market or Nimitian Harvest
- Share trading
- Printing & binding project reports
