As a part of the Faculty Development Program, a workshop was conducted by the PG Department of English on Content writing and Freelance writing for the teachers of PG Department of English and Department of Additional Languages on July 30, 2022. The seminar began at 10 a.m. in the Conference Hall (Chetana). A total of 16 teachers attended the seminar. The program commenced with a prayer by Ms. Greena Joseph followed by Ms. Grace K. Benny, Head of the Department of English, welcoming the gathering. Following this, the Executive Director and Principal of the institution Rev. Fr. Dr. Paulachan K. J. delivered the presidential address. The resource person for the seminar was Mr. Ronnie Kuriakose, staff writer at Malayala Manorama. Mr. Ronnie Kuriakose spoke extensively on the scope of content and freelance writing. A deep insight was given into the initial stages of writing and steps to be followed to become a successful and effective content or freelance writer. The seminar was made more productive and efficacious with the inclusion of virtual interaction with a community of successful and experienced content and freelance writers. Sneha Chakraborty, Zinara Itathnayake, Ishita Singh, Kavitha Yarlagadda, and Shoma Abhyankar were the writers who interacted with the staff and provided them with useful information regarding the topic. The seminar became highly fruitful with the addition of these knowledgeable and accomplished writers. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Purnima S. Kumar.
