The theme for World Food Safety Day 2022 is ‘Safer food, better health‘. The theme was announced by the World Health Organization (WHO) and underlines the fact that safer food is the key to better human health.World Food Safety Day is celebrated annually on 7 June to draw attention and mobilize action to prevent, detect and manage foodborne risks and improve human health. We are aware that 97 % of the diseases that human beings suffer comes from foodborne illness.
The Department of Hotel Management is organising a seminar on , ” Safer Food, Better Health” on the occasion of World Food Safety Day on 7.6.2022 at 1.15 pm in the seminar hall ( Main Block) for students and teaching staff and on 8.6.2022 for all Non- teaching staff.The resource person , Prof. John K, faculty of HM department and empanelled trainer of Advanced Catering,Fostac,India ( Licence No. TRTOT334) will take the session.
