Swaraj

Commemorating the nation’s independence from British rule, NIMIT celebrates Indian Independence Day under the title ‘Swaraj’. It is a tribute to the motherland and its brave warriors, upholding the sovereignty and integrity of the nation. Various competitions are held during the day and the tricolor flag is hoisted to keep the spirit of independence alive in the minds of the young. Swaraj is conducted inorder to make the students feel proud to be a part of one of the largest democracies in the world, at the same time, it is an invitation to the citizens for self-introspection, as well as to engage with the various degrees by which decolonization has been materialized in different realms of our life. Swaraj ignites the true spirit of nationalism among young people.
