Description
Emil George is an experienced educator with 9 years of teaching in higher education, specialising in English Language Teaching (ELT) and Sociolinguistics. She holds an M.A. in English, a B.Ed., and has qualified both the State Eligibility Test (SET) and the National Eligibility Test (NET). A CELTA-certified professional, she is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in English. Emil has contributed to academic scholarship through several publications, including book chapters and conference proceedings. She has actively participated in professional development initiatives, having attended numerous Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), including four NPTEL FDPs, as well as Faculty Induction and Faculty Refresher Courses. Her commitment to student development is evident from her several years of service as an NSS Programme Officer. With a strong interest in ELT and Sociolinguistics, she continues to blend research, pedagogy, and student engagement to foster an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.Academic Qualifications
