Department of Additional Language

The Department of Additional Languages had its modest inception in Naipunnya in the academic year 2021-22. The department facilitates common second language courses in Malayalam, Hindi, and French for all undergraduate programs in the college. The Department’s faculty members have contributed to various courses in writing, listening, speaking, reading, and language competency to help students navigate a globalized future. Through their serious engagement in teaching, research publications, research supervision, collaborations, and research projects, the Department of Additional Languages has contributed immensely to the all-round participation of publication of magazines, in quiz, debate, creative writing, and several other co-curricular level activities and competitions, contributing to the university’s vibrant social, academic and cultural atmosphere.

The department conducted several activities in its commencement year. One of the pioneering initiatives of the department was the inauguration of The Foreign language cell or ‘La Linguistique’ on 1st  December 2021. The cell is instrumental in hosting multilingual seminars
