With a boom in the tourism sector, the hospitality industry has emerged as one of the leading foreign exchange earners for the nation. Studies reveal that India will be the ultimate tourist destination of the millennium; therefore, hotel groups worldwide look for quality leaders to be inducted into their teams. Immense career options are thrown open by the Industry every year. All the hospitality organizations, be it hotels, restaurants, fast food outlets, resorts, railways, airlines, cruise liners, and other allied industries, all require trained personnel to manage their operations. Naipunnya strives to cater to this need for training and grooming individuals.

NIMIT offers a short one-year craft certificate program in the specialized trade of Food Production and Restaurant Management to equip students with the basic skills required in kitchens and restaurants. Successful students, after training, are immediately guaranteed entry-level jobs in the hospitality industry on completion of the course.

Classes at the institute involve theory input and practical laboratory teaching, followed by twenty weeks of Industrial Training. The course covers subjects like Communication Skills, Food and Beverage Production–II – (Theory), Food and Beverage Production–II (Practical), Food and Beverage Service- Theory, Service-(Practical), Catering Management/Hotel Housekeeping. Students are trained in different types of hospitality services, menu planning, and preparation of restaurant-quality food and garnishes. Students are tested through internal assessment tests and term-end examinations. Ever since 2002, this program has fulfilled the dreams of many aspiring students and helped them secure placements in hotel industries of global repute.
