The Department of Fashion Designing, Naipunnya Institute of Management and Information Technology, organized an Industrial Visit to Sahrudaya Silk Kendra, Angamaly, on 07 August 2025, in connection with National Handloom Day. The visit provided B.Sc. Costume and Fashion Designing students with practical exposure to traditional silk weaving processes, including yarn selection, dyeing, and handloom techniques. Students gained valuable insights into Kerala’s rich textile heritage and the functioning of a Silk Mark Certified production center. The visit enhanced their understanding of craftsmanship, sustainability, and industry practices.

The Fashion Designing Department arranged a Site Visit to the Clothing Expo held at Adlux Convention Centre, Angamaly, on 03 November 2025. The visit aimed to provide students with industry exposure and awareness of current fashion trends, textile innovations, and market dynamics. The experience helped students connect academic learning with real-time industry developments and professional networking opportunities.
