Description
Dr. Purnima S. Kumar began her academic journey in 2009, starting as a Government Guest Lecturer at Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam. She subsequently served as a Guest Lecturer at St. Xavier’s College, Aluva, and later at SCMS College of Engineering and Technology, where she taught for a year. In 2013, she joined Naipunnya Institute of Management and Information Technology as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English. With a strong inclination towards research, she enrolled as a full-time Ph.D. scholar at Bharathiar University in 2017 and was awarded her doctorate in 2021. She rejoined Naipunnya College in 2020, serving in the Postgraduate Department of English, and was elevated to the position of Head of the Department in 2022. Dr. Purnima has a substantial number of research publications and has received several accolades for her academic contributions. Her areas of specialization include British Poetry, Indian Literature, Gender Studies, Literary Criticism, Cultural Studies, and Children’s Literature.Academic Qualifications
