Admission Policy

1. Purpose

This policy outlines the framework for student admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
It ensures transparency, meritocracy, and inclusivity in accordance with the statutory guidelines of:

  • Government of Kerala
  • University of Calicut

3. Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination recognized by the University of Calicut.
  • Program-specific eligibility shall be as prescribed by the University and UGC.
  • Reservation category applicants must meet eligibility norms as per Government of Kerala rules.

6. Admission Calendar

  • The college shall publish an annual admission schedule.
  • Key dates for application, selection, and enrollment shall be communicated through official channels.

7. Fee Structure

  • Fees shall be fixed in accordance with G.O.(Ms) No. 57/2021/H.Edn and approved by the University of Calicut.
  • Fee details shall be published transparently in the prospectus and on the college website.
  • Scholarships and concessions shall be provided as per government and institutional policies.

8. Program Autonomy

  • The college may design its own curriculum and assessment methods, subject to ratification by the University.
  • Admission to new programs shall be initiated only after obtaining necessary approvals from the University and UGC.

9. Documentation Requirements

Applicants must submit the following:

  • Original certificates of the qualifying examination
  • Identity and address proof
  • Caste / Community certificate (if applicable)
  • Income certificate (for fee concessions, if applicable)
  • Any other documents specified in the admission notification

10. Grievance Redressal

  • An Admission Grievance Redressal Cell shall be constituted to address complaints and ensure procedural fairness.
  • Appeals unresolved at the college level may be escalated to:
    • University of Calicut
    • Directorate of Collegiate Education, Government of Kerala

11. Review and Amendment

This policy shall be reviewed annually and updated in accordance with changes in statutory guidelines
or institutional requirements.
