On 14 July 2022, our college conducted Vecindario 2.0, a SWAS intiative for honouring the neighborhood. This program was organised to honour the Koratty police station, who received the award from the Chief Minister of Kerala for the best police station in the state. The program was held in the Seminar hall, Main block at 11 am. The program was hosted by Ms. Neha Elizabeth of 2nd year BA English. The event started with a prayer song by Ms. Christina Sebastian of 3rd year B.Com Finance B. The Chief Guest for the day was Mr. Arun B.K, Inspector of Police, Koratty. Rev. Fr. Jose Edassery ( Vicar St. Mary’s Forane Church, Koratty) and Ms. Paulcy Geo ( Ward Member) also graced the event with their presence. Ms. Hanna Joseph of 3rd year BBA welcomed the gathering. The presidential address was delivered by Rev. Fr. Dr. Paulachan K J, Executive Director and Principal, NIMIT. Rev. Fr. Jose Edassery honoured our Chief Guest, Mr. Arun B.K by handing over the memento and thanked Mr. Arun B.K and the entire Koratty police team for their honourable services provided for our state. Then our Chief Guest , Mr. Arun B.K delivered a message about the team spirit of the police team and appreciated the citizens for their corporation to keep our state a safe and wonderful state. The Padheyam intiative by the Koratty Police was well appreciated by all. Our Vice Principals , Ms. Teresa Parackal and Mr. Robert Fernandez handed over the gift to our Chief Guest. We had the release of Elixir by Mr. Arun B.K. Then we had the felicitation by Ms. Paulcy Geo, Ward member and Mr. Shaju P John , Personnel Manager Naipunniya Welfare Services. We also donated 15 chairs to the panchayath. We concluded the programme with the Vote of Thanks by Ms. Merin James of 3rd year BBA and the National Anthem. The whole event was coordinated by the SWAS club and a team of student coordinators from 3rd year. The programme was overall well organized by the team.
